Ice Hockey in Costa Rica is not a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation nor does it have a federation or an association, but a group of players form a national team and in 2000. Costa Rica played 3 exhibition games in Heredia, Costa Rica against Canadian side Mighty Pirates. Costa Rican players later on form the Castillo Knights Hockey Club.
