Ice Hockey in Kenya
In 2005, the Solar Ice Rink was inaugurated at the Panari Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, marking a significant development in the country’s ice sports infrastructure. By 2024, Kenya achieved associate membership in the International Ice Hockey Federation, further solidifying its commitment to the sport. The Kenya Men’s National Team, known as the Lions, made their inaugural appearance in 2019 during a match that highlighted the pressing issue of climate change, both in Kenya and globally.
