Women’s hockey teams from Finland, Sweden, Czechia, and Switzerland aim to boost women’s national team tournaments. They signed a four-season agreement for the Women’s Euro Hockey Tour (WEHT). This sets the stage for in-season tournaments from 2024/25 to 2027/28.

Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland aim to boost women’s national team tournaments. They signed a four-season agreement for the Women’s Euro Hockey Tour (WEHT). This sets the stage for in-season tournaments from 2024/25 to 2027/28.
The agreement also includes marketing standards for each organizer. For instance, arenas must have a minimum of 2,000 seats. The broadcasting of matches and uniform appearance are also part of the deal.
Other countries will join the EHT countries in the tournaments. Germany will participate in some, and Canada and the USA will join in December when the Olympics aren’t on.
Next December, Finland will host a top tournament. The Women’s Lions will welcome the USA and Canada, the top two Countries in women’s hockey.
This means fans will get to see the world’s best female players in WEHT. This is not possible with the men’s Euro Hockey Tour series.
